2013 NFL Playoff Preview

With just a few weeks left in the NFL‘s regular season it’s time to think playoffs. The field of teams is far from set and in today’s era of parity where low seeded teams have begun setting a trend of emerging from the field as Super Bowl champs, it makes picking a top bet difficult. But there are teams that look strong heading into the post season.

If you’re looking for a look to the Green Bay Packers. They will almost certainly garner a lot of action at Top Bet, one of world’s top online sports betting sites. The leagues most talented roster is getting healthy. The best quarterback in the NFL is running the show and this is a team with Super Bowl experience. Throw in one of the best coaches in the NFL and the fact that the Packers have developed a multi head running game, and Green Bay is a clear favorite.

The AFC field is loaded but every team has weaknesses. The New England Patriots are as strong as ever scoring points at a record setting pace. The Houston Texans are perhaps the most balanced team in the conference but lack significant playoff experience. The Baltimore Ravens are not the defensive monster they historically have been and their loaded offense has issues with inconsistencies. Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos are sound but aside from Manning there isn’t a great deal of veteran leadership. Manning’s old team, the Indianapolis Colts, is led by a rookie quarterback. Beyond that a mass of average teams are vying for a playoff birth. In short, the AFC race is wide open .

On the NFC side, it’s hard to pick a favorite. The Atlanta Falcons boast the conference’s top record but have looked very average as the season winds down. The San Fransisco 49ers still lack a championship caliber quarterback. The New York Giants might be the NFL’s most inconsistent team and the Seattle Seahawks are over achievers. Beyond that nearly every NFC team is still in the playoff chase but most are not serious threats.
