The 17th annual Sunset Celebration Weekend is an annual event where home, garden, food and travel exhibitors from around the West mix and mingle with a Bay Area audience.

Tented booths feature some of the West’s most exceptional products and tourist destinations. Among them is Rosies Workwear for Women, best known for their utility apparel for women.  Rosies will be showing off the same women’s overalls, coveralls, and other work wear that women the world over are raving about.

“During World War II, six million women went to work in manufacturing plants taking the place of the men who went overseas to fight. These women were memorialized by Rose Hill Monroe, a riveter who was featured in a poster campaign wearing coveralls and became the subject of the 1943 song ‘Rosie the Riveter.’  Rosie came to symbolize women’s new found strength and the slogan ‘We Can Do It’ was born.” says Founder, Sharon Moore. What follows is a set of products that offer women a comfortable, stylish alternative to traditional men’s workwear.  “Rosies Overalls make me feel like a million bucks… it’s functional, wears like iron, and well, makes me feel like a woman,” says Ellen of Paso Robles CA.

Tiffany Polli of Succulent Gardens, another popular exhibitor at the Celebration Weekend in Menlo Park, has noted how female gardeners have long needed stylish and comfortable utility wear.   She tells us that “succulents are very water tolerant so they help preserve water and are great for the environment. They are also very low maintenance,” Tiffany says.

It seems that gardeners of all kinds appreciate the Sunset Celebration Weekend at Menlo Park, of which Rosies Work Wear and Succelent Gardens are both popular exhibitors.

Women feel empowered to get things done with Rosies Work Wear.  Whether its farming, gardening, ranching, woodworking, welding or just renovating and beautifying the house, nothing can stand in their way to get things done themselves. What set Rosies products apart is that it is designed by a woman so that style and functionality can co-exist. Rosies Overalls & Coveralls are “strong enough for a man, but made for a woman.”
