California Southern University Law Programs Granted Final Approval by WASC Senior College and University Commission

California Southern University has announced that the university’s accrediting body, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WASC), has granted final approval of the School of Law’s Master of Laws (LLM) and Master of Science in Dispute Resolution (MSDR) degree programs. CalSouthern has begun accepting enrollments into both programs.

CalSouthern’s LLM is designed to help attorneys grow their practices by gaining highly specialized knowledge in an area of the law. CalSouthern offers the LLM in commerce and global trade, environmental policy and resources, and alternative dispute resolution. The MSDR is developed to impart the knowledge and practical skills required to practice in mediation or arbitration. Students in the MSDR program can choose to concentrate their studies in workplace disputes, international trade, or court procedures.

“I am extremely pleased to introduce the LLM and MSDR,” says Ellen Sampong, dean of the California Southern University School of Law. “The curriculum is rigorous and carefully crafted to impart the knowledge and practical skills required to practice in these in-demand fields.”

In addition to the LLM and MSDR, the School of Law offers a Juris Doctor program for those aspiring to practice law, and a Master of Science in Law degree for business executives, human resources, litigation support staff, and others looking for a master’s-level understanding of the law, but who don’t want to practice as an attorney.
